Job Summary
An International based company is looking for a communications all-rounder with exceptional writing skills, a creative flair, a passion for traditional and social media, and a keen eye for digital trends. The motivated Communications Manager will help us amplify our message in the press and online, expand our reach and support how to better connect with our customers on various platforms. The manager should marry a deep understanding of how to communicate technology and global development issues simply to non-technical audiences with a passion for storytelling and working with local, specialist and international media.

Job Description/Requirements
The Communications Manager will:
● Craft compelling impact stories about the communities we work with and publish them on our website.
● Produce engaging news stories, blogs and technical content as needed, showcasing your excellent copywriting skills.
● Produce high-quality press releases, information kits, award submissions and other materials as required.
● Drafts content and strategy for social media outlets, including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram.
● Work with local African PR agencies, local marketing teams, and firms leadership to engage journalists in companys work and generate positive press about companys work.
● Develop corporate communications (impact reports, product spec sheets, presentations, and brochures) that adhere to the companyditorial style guide and show the impact of companys work, products, and projects.
● Write product overviews and company background information and upload content onto companys website.
● Provide end-to-end communications support for staff participation in events, conferences, and other forums, from strategic planning to internal and external outreach and logistics before, during, and after the event.
● Provide social media training and guidance to staff; manage weekly social media calendar on HootSuite and Amplify and coordinate with other corporate communications teams on scheduling posts. Tracks metrics on an ongoing basis.
● Manage company corporate social media channels, providing a reliable stream of updates on the company’s business milestones and human stories about the impact of providing access to energy.
● Occasionally travel to often rural communities in Africa and Asia to gather stories about our work.
● Expand professional and technical knowledge through various internal and external training and resources.

Requirements
● Five plus years of experience in the communications and marketing sector.
● Excellent copywriting skills, with impeccable grammar and a captivating writing style.
● Proven expertise in translating complex ideas and rich information into short and simple communications.
● A passion for social impact, solar energy, and digital innovation.
● The ability to work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders.
● Understanding of regional social media trends and strategies for audience engagement across different platforms and geographic areas.
● Experience managing social media platforms for a brand or organisation, including content creation, monitoring engagement, and responding to audience interactions.
● Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated skill and comfort presenting to large groups
● Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail, organisation, and time management.
● Thriving in a multicultural environment where you will work with people from engineering, sales, marketing, business, inclusive finance, and a range of other professional backgrounds.
● Strong analytical skills with an eye for uncovering actionable insights from digital metrics.
● Expertise in using social media analytics tools to drive strategy and performance.
● Experience working with remote teams and managing regional differences within a global organisation.
● Familiarity with social media best practices, scheduling tools, and emerging trends.
● A good understanding of how to work with journalists and the press.
● Experience using content management systems, ideally WordPress.
