Role Summary: The General Trade Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales and distribution of Brees Bees products within the general trade market, which includes small and mid size retail outlets,local grocery stores and so on. This role involves expanding product availability, increasing brand visibility, and ensuring the successful execution of sales strategies within the general trade channels.
Key Responsibilities:
● Sales and Distribution:
○ Achieve and exceed sales targets by effectively promoting and selling Brees Bees products in the general trade market.
○ Expand the customer base by identifying new sales opportunities and acquiring new retail outlets and stores.
○ Ensure optimal product availability and visibility at all points of sale, including shelf stocking and product placement.
● Customer Relationship Management:
○ Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, store owners, and other trade partners.
○ Provide excellent customer service, including regular visits, addressing concerns, and providing product training.
○ Gather and relay customer feedback to improve product offerings and sales strategies.
● Market Execution:
○ Implement and monitor promotional activities, discounts, and other sales
initiatives in the general trade market.
○ Ensure compliance with the company’s pricing strategy and monitor competitors’ activities to remain competitive.
○ Ensure all trade activities are executed according to the company's standards and guidelines.
● Reporting and Analysis:
○ Prepare regular sales reports, including analysis of market trends, sales performance, and customer feedback.
○ Monitor stock levels at retail outlets and ensure timely reordering and replenishment.
○ Provide insights and recommendations to management based on market observations and data analysis.
Qualifications:
● Proven experience in sales, preferably within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector or a similar industry.
● Strong understanding of the general trade market in Kenya.
● Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
● Ability to work independently, with a proactive and results-driven approach.
● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Familiarity with sales reporting tools and software.
Education:
● Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

● Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
