GENERAL MANAGER - DAIRY FACTORY

Duties and Responsibilities:

a)    Ensure that all daily factory operations and functions are running at optimum levels.

b)    Formulate, develop and implement the strategic operational objectives of the Factory function in line with the overall

       strategic plan.

c)    Evaluate, improve and develop new standard operating procedures that will effectively and efficiently assist in the running of         the factory operations.

d)    Formulate forecasting activities, set performance goals and targets for each factory section in order to achieve the targets

       and goals of the Company.

e)    Develop, improve and maintain factory KPIs.

f)     Ensure objective coaching, performance monitoring and motivation of the factory’s employees.

g)    Prepares periodic factory reports showing production volume, potential production capacities, and potential areas of

       opportunities.

h)    Ensure that all factory inputs meet the set Quality Standards

i)     Participate in product development and improvement (Research & Development).

j)     Develop and manage the factory’s operating budgets to ensure proper control of costs and wastages.

k)    Ensure compliance with industry quality standards, legal and regulatory as required by all Government and regulatory

       bodies.

l)     Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers, key strategic partners and foster good working relationships

       with both internal and external stakeholders

m)  Coordinate with the Sales & Marketing department to ensure timely orders, timely processing and feedback to the customers’

       queries concerning products’ quality.

Qualification and Experience required:

1)       Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in Food/Dairy Science and technology related degree.                    

2)       Post graduate education including Master’s degree in business related field will be an added advantage.

3)       At least three years’ experience in a similar role or seven years’ experience in a senior factory operations. 

4)       3 years’ experience in a dairy processing plant shall be an added advantage.

5)       Membership in Professional Bodies that are related to Food Science is an added advantage.
