Job Summary

Provide support to the USA based Corporate Accounting department. This position will focus primarily on Divisions with Software as a Service (SaaS) product offerings and the related Revenue Recognition Accounting. This position will be required to provide detail oriented professional services for full cycle accounting such as prepare and file monthly, quarterly and annual payroll tax returns for federal, state and local taxes as assigned. In addition, this position will provide the highest level of customer service and support to clients and prioritize/resolve assigned tasks in case management system. We require experience working with Software as a Service accounting and specifically working with ASC 606 Software Revenue Recognition and Internally Developed Software Capitalization.

Job Description/Requirements

ABOUT THE COMPANY

RESPONSIBILITIES

1.G/L postings, fixed assets/depreciation, cost-center allocations, prepaid expenses, and accrued liabilities support. 

2.Bank Reconciliations

3.Balance sheet reconciliations and transactional review support. 

4.Process corporate AR transactions; including invoicing and payment applications. 

5.Produce daily, weekly, and monthly GL, AR, and Cash reporting

6.Assist in monthly close process and financial statement preparation

7. Assist with budgeting, financial statement, loan covenant, and variance analysis

8.Monitor and maintain integrity of the GL accounting system, specifically the chart of accounts and subaccount list

9. Correspond with banks and other agencies for issue resolution and responses to inquiries in a professional manner

10.Assist with preparation and responses for audits

11.Update and maintain policies & procedure documentation

12.Meet the contractual commitments to client(s) through timely and accurate reporting and issue resolution

13.Perform other job-related duties as directed by supervisor.


Skills and qualifications - Hard and soft skills:

  • Strong English language skills, both written and spoken
  • Strong understanding and experience with accrual accounting
  • Intermediate level of understanding and experience with Microsoft excel, preferably with experience using pivot tables
  • Communicates effectively in individual or group situations including demonstrating active listening skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, using accurate grammatical form, and able to read and interpret written information
  • Ability to coach and develop accounting team
  • Ability to effectively interact with customer base and maintain excellent customer relations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work effectively with other internal and external departments
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Problem solving skills are mandatory as well as ability to manage resources to complete team goals
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; strict attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills, Excel, Word and E-mail. Sage Intacct & Prism HRP experience is a plus Experience
  • A degree in accounting or related field (or equivalent experience).5 years' experience in accounting, at both transactional and analysis level
  • Experience with multi-company / divisional financials and job costing highly desirable
  • Experience with external and internal auditing and compliance preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; strict attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills: Excel, Word and E-mail. Sage Intacct and Prism HRP experience is a plus. high standard of integrity and sound business ethics
  • Ability to work effectively with other internal and external departments.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
