Motor Vehicle Garage Supervisor

Reports To: Managing Director

Job Summary: 

As a garage Supervisor, you will supervise all work and personnel in the garage,body work and carwash. You will assign work and issue instructions to the personnel; check completed work for compliance with instructions. Repair or instruct/assist in the repair and maintenance of all vehicles and specialty equipment used in the division.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising a team of automotive technicians (electrical, mechanical and body work) and car wash attendants

• Working closely with the garage admin

• Giving quotes and timescales for jobs

• Organising bookings for vehicles and shift patterns in the car wash

• Checking the work done by staff is of a high quality

• Managing budgets

• Checking stock and ordering parts and equipments

• Assist in the repair and maintenance of all automotive

• Provide strong leadership and lead by example to enhance the team's performance

Requirements

• Education: A certificate or diploma in automotive technology from a recognized institution.

• Experience:  A minimum of five (5) years working experience in the automotive environment. Experience dealing with hybrid/electric vehicles is an added advantage.

• Valid driving licence 

• Skills: You should possess a diverse set of technical skills, hybrid knowledge, encompassing the ability to diagnose vehicle issues, execute repairs and maintenance tasks proficiently, and effectively utilize various tools and equipment. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are essential.
