JOB SUMMARY

The Regional Workshop Manager will be responsible for managing workshop operations in Coast region, overseeing the maintenance and repair of a mixed fleet of vehicles, including heavy trucks and smaller support vehicles. This role ensures that all vehicles are maintained to high standards, supporting smooth regional operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:Workshop Operations: Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring that all vehicles are serviced and repaired as needed to maintain fleet availability.Maintenance Scheduling: Implement preventive maintenance schedules and oversee unplanned repairs, minimizing vehicle downtime.Team Supervision: Lead a team of technicians, providing training, support, and performance feedback to maintain a high level of technical expertise.Inventory Management: Oversee spare parts stock for essential repairs, coordinating with the central team to ensure timely supply.Safety Compliance: Ensure all workshop activities follow health, safety, and environmental regulations.Fleet Monitoring: Track vehicle performance within the region, report on key metrics, and recommend improvements.Qualifications:Education: Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or equivalent.Experience: 5+ years in vehicle maintenance, with experience handling both heavy and light vehicles.Skills: Strong technical knowledge of vehicle repair, team leadership, and organizational skills.Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with regional safety and compliance standards.
