Fleet Coordinator

Location: Baba Dogo-Lucky Summer

Job Type: Full-Time.

Reports To: Operations Manager

Salary: Between 30k - 60k depending on experience. Please note that salary offers above this range are not negotiable

We are currently seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our team as a Fleet Coordinator.

Job Description: As a Fleet Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of our fleet. This includes vehicle maintenance, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. You will work closely with drivers, mechanics, and other team members to ensure our fleet runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule and coordinate the maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles.
• Monitor and track vehicle usage and fuel consumption.
• Deploy the drivers for loading and issue them with loading order, fuel LPOs, journey plans, mileage, consignment notes and any other necessary instructions.
• Ensuring proper utilization of the trucks for maximum revenue targets, by making sure trucks always carry the assigned cargo and that always the loadings should be to the capacity of the trucks, in matters volumes and weight.
• Act as Customer Relationship contact- Should ensure that clients are communicated to daily, through emails and calls and making sure that they are properly updated/communicated to, on the status of the trucks.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Daily attendance of Drivers & Turn boys
• Maintain detailed records of vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Implement fleet policies and procedures.
• Analyze fleet performance data and recommend improvements.

Competency Requirements:

1. Previous experience in fleet management or a related field is preferred.

2. Communication Competencies

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Customer Service: Strong orientation towards internal and external customer service

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

3. Administrative Competencies:

Record Keeping: Strong ability to maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, maintenance, and compliance.

4. Technical competency:

Vehicle Maintenance: Deep understanding of vehicle maintenance practices and procedures.

Fuel Management: Experience in monitoring and managing fuel consumption and costs

5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
