Financial Accountant

• Prepare  monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to Kenyan accounting standards.
• Analyze financial data, including profitability of ploughing services, cost analysis of value chain operations, based on revenue generated
• Prepare insightful reports and presentations to communicate financial results and trends to management, highlighting key areas of strength and opportunities for improvement.
•  Critically think and analyze business opportunities to generate viable information for management action
• Develop and monitor budgets tracking all variances diligently and providing accurate explanation of the significant among those variables
• Monitor and track variances between budget and actual performance, investigating and explaining significant deviations.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
• Advise and take responsibility on on all statutory matters including but not limited to facilitating  external auditors and ensuring compliance with all tax and statutory requirements of the business
•  Work collaboratively with department heads across the organization to understand their financial needs and provide strategic financial guidance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  
• CPA part 2 qualification
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a management accounting role, preferably in a busy commercial enterprise 
  
• Proven experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of Kenyan accounting standards (KAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
•  Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge and experience in management accounting will be an added advantage
