Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and analytical Financial Accountant to join our growing team in our company which is a clear leader in the industry we operate. In this job, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial health of the company by providing insightful financial analysis, managing budgets and forecasts, and supporting strategic decision-making. Salary 35,000 - 45,000

Job Description/Requirements
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to Kenyan accounting standards.
- Analyze financial data, including profitability of ploughing services, cost analysis of value chain operations, based on revenue generated
- Prepare insightful reports and presentations to communicate financial results and trends to management, highlighting key areas of strength and opportunities for improvement.
- Critically think and analyze business opportunities to generate viable information for management action
- Develop and monitor budgets tracking all variances diligently and providing accurate explanation of the significant among those variables
- Monitor and track variances between budget and actual performance, investigating and explaining significant deviations.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
- Advise and take responsibility on on all statutory matters including but not limited to facilitating external auditors and ensuring compliance with all tax and statutory requirements of the business
- Work collaboratively with department heads across the organization to understand their financial needs and provide strategic financial guidance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA part 2 qualification
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a management accounting role, preferably in a busy commercial enterprise
- Proven experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Strong understanding of Kenyan accounting standards (KAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge and experience in management accounting will be an added advantage
