Job Mission
You form an integral part of our ecosystems by executing a key part of our Revenue Pillar: Partnerships.
You will be integral in the generation, execution and performance reporting of this strategy.
You will hold the mandate to plan and run Partnerships finance reporting for our East Africa projects.
You will partner with the Head of Finance - Group Partnerships and other key internal stakeholders by providing financial assessment, measurement and reporting. Ideally you must possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial reporting and control for an NGO and impact projects, and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across various teams within the organization.

Functional Responsibilities
Finance Reporting and project assessment for all Impact Partnerships in East Africa
Key Responsibilities
● Support the preparation of projects from proposal to final submission.
● Prepare the financial justification formalities and ensure that approval is obtained prior to submission.
● Where necessary, review and highlight contrast.
● Escalate areas/topics for approval.
● Tracking of project development after approval to ensure achievement of financial objectives.
● Prepare reports of project progress to the Head of Finance - Group Partnerships.
● Ensure local tax compliance for project related costs and revenue
● Provide input on the resources required to run projects (staff, funding).
● Implement a governance structure to ensure completion and execution of projects properly
● Prepare Budget and Forecasts planning financial information on Partnership projects
● Where necessary travel to other markets to ensure effectiveness of project preparation and execution.
● Carry out any other tasks related impact Projects in East Africa as directed by the Head of Finance - Group Partnerships

Requirements
Key Skills and Competences
● Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Finance or an MBA is a plus.
● Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, ACCA or similar are preferred.
● 7 years experience and 3 years management experience
● Proven experience NGO, supporting project teams and driving financial tactical strategies focused on impact achievement and project sustainability.
● Ability to think through and manage complex processes as well as solve issues in a thoughtful manner and in a way that makes sense for the rest of the business.
● Proficiency in financial analysis, planning, and project management is highly valuable in this role.
● Strong communication with the capability to support business decisions through data-driven insights.
