Job Description/Requirements
- Sales Execution: Identify and target potential clients, including schools, educational institutions,
- libraries, and bookstores, to sell our books and publications.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring repeat business and client retention.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Product Knowledge: Stay up to date with product offerings, including new releases, and effectively communicate the benefits of our books to clients.
- Market Research: Monitor industry trends, competitive offerings, and customer preferences to adapt sales techniques and approach.
- Client Support: Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, managing orders, and ensuring timely delivery of products.
- Reporting: Track and report on sales activities, opportunities, and results through CRM systems and regular sales reports.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and editorial teams to align on product positioning and promotional efforts.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in field sales or sales in the publishing industry, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets.
- Experience working with publishers, bookstores, schools, or other educational institutions is highly desirable.
- Previous experience as a trained teacher is a significant advantage, particularly in
- understanding the needs of educational institutions and aligning products accordingly.
- Strong understanding of the book market, including educational materials, textbooks, and literary publications.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel to meet clients as required.
- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools for reporting and tracking progress.
- A passion for books, education, and literature is a plus.

- Familiarity with digital sales platforms and e-commerce in the publishing industry.
- A background in teaching or education-related fields, allowing for a deeper understanding of customer needs in the educational sector.
