Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager

Who and what are we looking for?

The EHS Manager will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of environmental, health, and safety practices across all projects. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, managing compliance with key health and safety standards, conducting risk assessments, and maintaining thorough documentation.

Main tasks & responsibilities:

Health and Safety Compliance:

● Ensure suppliers comply with Innovis’s key Health & Safety (H&S) standards.

● Coordinate with Supplier EHS representatives to align safety protocols.

● Review Supplier Project Risk Assessments and ensure they meet Innovis’s criteria.

● Verify personnel competencies and the validity of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

● Conduct monthly Quality, Health, and Safety (QHS) meetings.

● Ensure all QHS requirements are met and provided to relevant stakeholders.

● Maintain comprehensive documentation of all EHS activities and protocols.

Reporting and Documentation:

● Submit EHS Inspection Reports highlighting both good and bad practices observed to all stakeholders.

● Prepare and submit monthly EHS implementation reports.

● Manage and control EHS records and documentation meticulously.

● Report project incidents and accidents in accordance with the company’’s reporting processes.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Health, Safety, and Environmental Metrics:

● HRPIA (Health Risk Project Impact Assessment): 100% on all services projects.

● SMA (Supplier Management Assessment): 100% for all active projects.

● The Company’s Reports Review: 100% weekly and monthly review.

● Report Submissions: 100% submission rate for daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

● The Company’s EHS Inductions: 100% for all teams.

● Subcontractor Inductions: 100% for key personnel.

● Site Inspections (Physical Checks): Inspect 10% of implemented sites per month.

● Site Inspections (Virtual Checks): Inspect 100% of implemented sites per month.

● 360 Vehicle Inspections: 100% of all visited teams.

● Customer Health and Safety Audits: Achieve a score of 80% or above.

● Incident/Accident Management: Zero fatal, critical, or High-Potential (HIPO) cases.

Requirements:

● Bachelor’s Degree

● NEBOSH Certification preferred.

● At least 5 years of experience in the role Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager

● Ability to build EHS Culture

● Ability to handle multiple projects in multiple countries across Africa.
