- Install electrical wiring, control systems, and equipment in accordance with technical specifications and safety standards
- Assist in commissioning new equipment and systems
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems and machinery
- Diagnose faults using appropriate testing equipment and tools
- Repair or replace defective components such as motors, switches, relays, and circuit breakers
- Ensure all repairs are completed promptly to minimize operational downtime
- Develop and follow preventive maintenance schedules
- Conduct regular system checks to identify potential issues before failure occurs
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment performance
- Respond quickly to electrical breakdowns and emergencies
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues under pressure to restore normal operations
- Escalate complex issues where necessary
- Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards and company policies
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Identify and report potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance, repairs, and inspections
- Prepare reports on system performance and recurring issues
- Track spare parts usage and report inventory needs
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a field or industrial environment
- Experience working with generators, pumps, control panels, and electrical distribution systems is an added advantage
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Good understanding of electrical systems, tools, and safety practices
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Good communication and teamwork skills
