JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a Professional Driver to transport either employees orour products in a comfortable, safe and timely manner.His/ Her responsibilities include but is not limited to arranging regular cleaningand maintenance services for the vehicle, planning each route based on road andtraffic conditions.Increase customer satisfaction (both internal& external), making sure the services are professional.To be considered for this role, you should have a validdriver’s license and a clean driving record with no traffic violations, plus a valid certificate of Good Conduct.Requirements and skillsProven experience as a Driver valid driver’s licenseA clean driving recordMinimum visual acuity of 20/50 (or corrected to 20/50)Familiarity with GPS devicesKnowledge of area roads and neighborhoodsAbility to lift heavy packages and luggageAvailability to occasionally take weekend and night shiftsA polite and professional dispositionAbility to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)K.C.S.E Certificate

RESPONSIBILITIES

ResponsibilitiesMap out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient tripPick/Drop employees/visitors plus goods from the place and at the time assigned.Collect payments and issue receipts if and when requiredAssist clients with loading and unloading their luggage if requiredListen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditionsAdjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as neededEnsure the car seats are clean and comfortable for all ridersSchedule regular car service appointments in coordination with the in-charge and report any issuesBook car wash and detailing services to maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the car & in some cases will be required to do the cleaning.Ensure all the licenses & Insurance are valid and incase they are about to expire inform the in charge in good time.Maintain the vehicle in a good state and ensure the inventory and all the spares in the car is updated and can be accounted for.Report any breakages and/or defects.Follow the traffic rulesEnsure you always have a valid driving licenseEnsure no unauthorized passenger or goods are carried in the company vehicles  Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical problems.
