Job Description

We are looking for an experienced data engineer to join our team. You will use various methods to transform raw data into useful data systems. For example, you’ll create algorithms and conduct statistical analysis. Overall, you’ll strive for efficiency by aligning data systems with business goals. 

 

To succeed in this role, you should have strong analytical skills and the ability to combine data from different sources. Data engineering skills also include familiarity with several programming languages and knowledge of learning machine methods.

Responsibilities 

​​​

  • Develop, test and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data infrastructure.
  • Build and maintain data pipeline orchestration systems.
  • Implement and support reporting and analytics infrastructure.
  • Identify, design and implement improvements in automating processes, optimizing workflows, improving data availability and delivery and redesigning
  • Analyze, organize & combine raw data from different sources conducting complex data analysis and reporting on results 
  • Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling, interpret trends and patterns, while evaluating business needs and objectives
  • Collaborate with data analysts and other stakeholders on several projects

Requirement

  •  Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (preferably in Social Science, Economics, or Statistics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Technology, or a related field ​

Skills​​​

  • Has strong Linux skills
  • Has Working SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases (especially Postgres)
  •  Has knowledge of data modeling, orchestration tools (e.g airflow) and data warehouses
  • Has experience with ETL/ELT data pipelines
  • Have analytic skills associated with working on unstructured data
  • Experience with GCP will be preferred
