The Position

The Roche East Africa Leadership Program (REAL) is a 2-year rotational development program at Roche. The program is designed for high-potential individuals at an early stage of their career (with max 2 years working experience) accelerates their professional development and enables them to be key contributors to Roche's purpose and what patients need next. REAL offers 5 main positions: Medical Affairs/Market Access, Regulatory Affairs/Quality Assurance, Customer Support/Professional Services, Business Administration/Finance, and Sales & Marketing/Commercial.

Contribute to talent pools with individuals who gained experience in different disciplines 


Program Characteristics/Scope

A rotational talent development program 

2 years in different disciplines, 3 or 4 assignments

Contributing to purpose driven projects and taking responsibilities from day 1

Participants will have access to senior leaders and will be assigned to a mentor to support their career journey


Who are you? 

As an ideal candidate you have:

Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Engineering. Biomedical Technology, Medical Science and Technology or Medical Laboratory Technology, Biochemistry, Microbiology & Molecular Biology

At an early stage in your career: 0-2 years relevant work experience

Basic knowledge in clinical lab work and /or research lab work

Familiarity with mechanical or electrical engineering and biomedical instrumentation

Eagerness to work with diverse cultures

Passion for learning new things and high degree of integrity and courage

Excellent communication and innovation skills

Willingness to travel

Proficient in English

Participants build an extensive network within Roche and upskill themselves for their future roles
