Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking and managing the costs associated with all farm activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and effective cost control. This role is critical in helping the company maintain financial efficiency and support sustainable agricultural practices.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data on labor, materials, equipment, and other inputs used in farming operations.

• Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts for agricultural projects and operations.

• Perform cost variance analysis by comparing actual costs to budgeted costs, and provide explanations for any discrepancies.

• Categorize and record all expenses related to different farm operations and projects.

• Collaborate with management to develop cost standards and cost-saving initiatives.

• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely financial data and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within the agricultural or manufacturing industry.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
