JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a Contract Cost Controller with 3 to 5 years of experience to manage and oversee the financial aspects of construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring effective contract management, maintaining cost control, and monitoring project budgets.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Finance/Accounting.3 to 5 years of experience in contract cost control or related construction finance roles.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the overall contract management process, ensuring proper administration and compliance with procedures.Manage the tendering department and update rate analysis for accurate cost estimation.Act as the main point of contact for cost-related matters on construction sites, providing technical advice to subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives.Review and verify the accuracy of plans, drawings, and quantities in relation to cost calculations.Ensure all materials ordered and work performed meet project specifications and remain within budget constraints.Oversee the selection, requisition, and cost-effectiveness of materials and plant to stay within the project’s financial scope.Manage contract design documents provided by the client/architect, ensuring proper cost interpretation and compliance.Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and the project team to manage cost controls and budget monitoring.Ensure compliance with local construction regulations and liaise with authorities as necessary.Regularly meet with clients and their representatives (e.g., architects, engineers, surveyors) to provide cost-related updates and address financial concerns.Monitor day-to-day site activities, including labor and subcontractor costs, ensuring efficiency and cost control.Plan and organize project expenditures, resources, and site facilities to meet financial goals.Oversee the quality control, health & safety matters, and cost-related reports on site.Address unexpected technical or financial issues that may arise, ensuring timely resolution.Maintain strict accountability of labor, site expenses, and disbursements to ensure cost transparency and control.
