JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a highly experienced Contract & Site Manager with 15 years of work experience and a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering. A Degree in Law would be an added advantage. The ideal candidate will manage overall contract administration, oversee construction site activities, and provide technical advice for projects in Kenya or any of our sister companies within the East Africa region. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, contract management, site coordination, and ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and safety standards.Qualifications:Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering; a Degree in Law is a plus.15 years of work experience in contract management, construction site management, and project coordination.Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects with a focus on contract administration, site coordination, and quality control.Strong understanding of construction regulations, project specifications, and safety standards.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to efficiently manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee overall contract management and ensure adherence to proper administrative procedures.Act as the main technical adviser on construction sites for subcontractors, craft people, and operatives.Handle setting out, leveling, and surveying of the site as per project requirements.Review and check plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy in calculations.Ensure that all materials ordered and used, and work performed are in line with project specifications.Oversee the selection and requisition of materials and plant equipment.Agree on material pricing and propose cost-effective solutions to stay within the project budget.Manage, monitor, and interpret contract design documents provided by clients or architects.Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and other project stakeholders.Ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws by liaising with the local authority.Maintain regular communication with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers, surveyors), and attend meetings to provide updates on progress.
