About the OrganizationThe Association of Gaming Operators is an organization dedicated to supporting the gaming industry by advocating for its members, promoting ethical practices, and fostering sustainable growth. Our members include both online and land-based sports betting, casino and lottery operators. The association provides a unified voice to influence public policy, offers valuable resources to its members, and champions innovation within the industry.Position OverviewThe Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will serve as the strategic and operational leader of the Gaming Operators Association, overseeing all aspects of the organization’s activities, growth, and influence. The CEO will drive the association’s mission to represent the interests of gaming operators, enhance industry standards, and foster collaboration among stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipDevelop and execute the organization's vision, mission, and strategic goals.Lead the formulation of long-term strategies to advance the gaming industry and alignwith emerging trends. Represent the association as the primary spokesperson to media, stakeholders, and policymakers.Advocacy & Policy DevelopmentEngage with policymakers, regulators, and industry leaders to advocate for favorable legislation and regulatory frameworks.Build relationships with government entities and international organizations to influence industry-related decisions.Monitor global trends and regulatory changes to ensure the association’s members remain competitive.Member Engagement & GrowthFoster relationships with current and potential members, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.Expand the association’s membership base and enhance member value through resources, training, and networking opportunities.Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing among members.Operational ManagementOversee the day-to-day operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, and staff management.Ensure the financial health of the organization by identifying revenue streams, including sponsorships, partnerships, and grants.Manage a team of professionals, cultivating a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.Public Relations & EventsPlan and execute industry events, conferences, and forums to drive engagement and thought leadership. Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets to enhance the association's public image.Qualifications & ExperienceEducationBachelor’s degree in business, public administration, law, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).Professional Experience:Minimum of 10 years of experience in leadership roles, preferably within the gaming, entertainment, or association sectors. Proven track record of advocacy, regulatory engagement, and public affairs.Experience in managing large budgets and leading diverse teams.Skills & CompetenciesStrategic thinking and vision-setting abilities.
