Chief Accountant

Job Overview:

Msambweni Beach House, a luxury boutique hotel, is seeking a Chief Accountant to lead our financial operations. This role is pivotal in managing all financial aspects of the hotel, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and working closely with the General Manager to maintain the financial health and success of our property.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Oversight: Manage all financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and cash management.

• Budgeting and Forecasting: Work with the General Manager to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring performance to ensure financial targets are met.

• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements and reports to management and stakeholders, offering insights that guide strategic decisions.

• Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, maintain effective internal controls, and coordinate with auditors.

• Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow and manage banking relationships and treasury functions to optimize financial operations.

• Team Leadership: Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a collaborative work environment and ensuring professional growth.

Qualifications:
