DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES





  • Support the accounting team in recording daily financial transactions in QuickBooks.

  • Maintain organized and accurate documentation of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.

  • Assist in reconciling bank statements and ensuring all transactions are recorded.

  • Assist in the collection and verification of employee timesheets and attendance records.

  • Help prepare payroll calculations, including deductions, bonuses, and overtime.

  • Help prepare and file monthly and annual tax returns using the KRA Itax system.

  • Stay updated on tax regulations and ensure compliance with local tax laws.

  • Assist in processing vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.

  • Support the tracking and collection of outstanding accounts receivable.

  • Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing inquiries and payment statuses.

  • Help prepare presentations or reports for team meetings.

  • Support efforts to ensure all financial records are closed accurately and on time.

  • Work closely with team members on various accounting projects and initiatives, providing support as needed.

  • Perform general administrative duties related to the finance department, such as filing and data entry.



 



KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION





  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a busy accounting department.

  • Familiarity with payroll processes and QuickBooks.

  • Knowledge of KRA itax system is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
