Location: Westlands, Nairobi, KenyaWorking hours: 3pm to 1 am Employment Type: Full-timeReports to: Quality Assurance ManagerJob Overview:We are seeking a meticulous and diligent Quality Assurance Specialist tojoin our team. This role focuses on ensuring the accuracy, compliance, andquality of patient care documentation, with a particular emphasis on adherenceto Medicare guidelines. As the Quality Assurance Specialist, you will auditdocuments, provide training, and collaborate with various teams to improveprocesses and maintain high standards of compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities: 1. Document Review and ComplianceAudit patient care documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance withMedicare guidelines. Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in documentation promptly. Ensure that patient care reports are compliant and ready for billingpurposes. 2. Liaison and CommunicationServe as a key point of contact between facilities, field officers, and theQuality Assurance team.Facilitate smooth communication and promptly address issues related todocumentation.Provide guidance to facilities and field officers on documentationrequirements and best practices. 3. Reporting and AnalysisPrepare regular reports on documentation accuracy, compliance, and areas forimprovement.Analyze trends to identify opportunities for refining documentationpractices.Collaborate with teams to develop strategies for improving compliance andprocess efficiency. 4. Training and SupportDevelop and conduct training sessions for staff on Medicare documentationstandards and guidelines.Provide continuous support and feedback to ensure documentation practicesremain compliant and accurate. 5. Process ImprovementCollaborate with internal teams to enhance documentation processes andprocedures.Stay updated on Medicare guidelines and regulatory changes to ensurecontinued compliance. Required Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related fieldis a plus.Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality assurance or compliance role,preferably within the healthcare or medical transportation industry.In-depth knowledge of Medicare guidelines and healthcare documentationstandards.Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining diligenceand persistence.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability tocollaborate across diverse teams.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) andexperience with documentation management systems. Additional Desired Qualities:Organized and proactive with the ability to independently drive projects tocompletion.A collaborative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.The ability to develop and implement effective training programs for variousteams.
