Role Overview
We are seeking a high-performing Sales & Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth, strategic partnerships, and platform monetization. This role is commercial-first: turning UrbanTOK into a scalable, profitable ecosystem across creators, brands, advertisers, and partners.
Key Responsibilities
1. Revenue & Monetization Strategy
Develop and execute monetization models: advertising, brand partnerships, creator revenue programs, subscriptions, and sponsored content
Drive platform revenue targets and build predictable revenue pipelines
Identify new commercial opportunities (media buying, programmatic ads, branded content, live commerce)
2. Partnerships & Ecosystem Development
Build strategic partnerships with:
Brands (FMCGs, Telcos, Banks, Retail)
Agencies (media, creative, influencer)
Content creators and talent networks
Structure win-win commercial agreements that scale platform usage and revenue
3. Sales Execution
Lead B2B sales: prospecting, pitching, closing high-value deals
Develop tailored proposals for advertisers and partners
Manage key accounts and ensure retention and upsell
4. Platform Growth Enablement
Work closely with product and marketing teams to align monetization features
Provide market feedback to improve platform capabilities (ads formats, creator tools, analytics)
Support go-to-market strategies for new features (livestream monetization, creator funds, etc.)
Key Requirements
1.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA is an added advantage)
2.3–5+ years experience in:
3.B2B sales / business development
4.Media, digital platforms, advertising, or tech ecosystems
5.Proven track record in closing partnerships and driving revenue growth
6.Strong network across brands, agencies, or digital ecosystem players in Kenya
7.Deep understanding of:
Digital advertising models (CPM, CPC, CPA)
Creator economy and content monetization
8.Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
