Job Overview:

As a Business Analyst specializing in the tea industry, you will play a crucial role in analysing and optimizing the operational and financial aspects of the company. Your responsibilities will involve gathering and analysing data related to production, inventory management, pricing strategies, market trends, and customer behaviour to support decision-making and drive business growth in the competitive business environment.


Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis: Collect, organize, and analyse data related to tea production volumes, quality parameters, inventory levels, auction prices, and sales performance. Use statistical methods and data visualization tools to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.

• Auction Strategy: Develop and implement auction sales strategies based on market trends, competitor analysis, and customer preferences. Optimize pricing, lot sizes, and packaging options to maximize revenue and profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of tea products and raw materials to ensure adequate supply to meet demand while minimizing carrying costs and waste. Analyse inventory turnover rates and aging profiles to optimize stock levels and reduce obsolescence.

• Quality Control: Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to maintain high standards of tea quality throughout the manufacturing process. Analyse quality data and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards.

• Customer Insights: Gather insights into customer preferences, buying behaviour, and satisfaction levels through market research, surveys, and sales data analysis. Use these insights to tailor product offerings, packaging, and marketing strategies to meet customer needs and preferences.

• Performance Metrics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and evaluate the effectiveness of auction sales initiatives. Develop performance dashboards and reports to provide regular updates to management and stakeholders on sales performance, market trends, and opportunities for improvement.

• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis of auction sales activities, including revenue forecasting, cost analysis, and profitability assessment. Identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue-generating initiatives to improve the financial performance of the tea factory's auction sales operations.

• Strategic Planning: Provide strategic recommendations and insights to senior management based on data analysis findings and market intelligence. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic initiatives aimed at driving growth, improving efficiency, and maintaining a competitive edge in the auction market.

• Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats. Proactively recommend process improvements, technology upgrades, and best practices to enhance the tea factory's auction sales operations.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, finance, or a related field. 

• Proven experience as a business analyst or data analyst, preferably in the tea industry or agricultural commodities sector.

• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, R, or Python.

• Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques, forecasting methods, and business intelligence tools.

• Familiarity with tea production processes, quality standards, and auction sales dynamics.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving business results and delivering value to stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to delivering high-quality analysis and recommendations.
