Job Summary
A barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and other beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, ensuring excellent customer service, and contributing to new drink recipes. Location is Nairobi and Mombasa

Job Description/Requirements
1. Beverage Preparation
Prepare espresso-based and other beverages according to company standards.
Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
2. Customer Service
Greet customers, take orders, and provide recommendations.
Address customer inquiries and resolve any complaints politely and professionally.
3. Recipe Development
Collaborate with team members to create new drink recipes.
Experiment with flavors and ingredients to develop unique offerings that align with brand standards.
4. Inventory Management
Monitor coffee, milk, and other stock levels, and report shortages.
Maintain an organized workspace and restock items as needed.
5. Cleaning and Maintenance
Regularly clean and maintain equipment, counters, and seating areas.
Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines
6. Upselling and Promoting
Upsell beverage items.
Inform customers of any promotions, new menu items, or daily specials.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
1. Beverage Quality and Consistency:
Maintain consistent quality in drink preparation, measured by customer satisfaction scores.
2. Customer Service Rating:
Achieve a high rating on customer feedback and reviews.
3. Order Accuracy:
Ensure a high percentage of accurate orders with minimal remakes.
4. Sales and Upselling:
Meet or exceed sales targets for specific beverages or promotional items.
5. Recipe Innovation:
Successfully develop and launch new drink recipes, with customer feedback used as a metric for success.
6. Cleanliness and Hygiene:
Adhere to hygiene standards, measured by routine inspections or internal checks.
7. Attendance and Punctuality:
Maintain reliable attendance and adhere to shift schedules.
Reporting Structure
The barista reports directly to the Head Barista, who oversees the quality of beverage preparation, recipe development, and day-to-day operations on the floor.
