ATM Technician - Djibouti

Job Summary: 

We are a regional Recruitment and Talent Acquisition Firm, Talent Source. Our Client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented ATM Technician to install, maintain, and repair Automated Teller Machines (ATMs). The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing technical issues, ensuring machine functionality, andproviding excellent customer service. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, knowledge of mechanical and electronic components, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. 

Key Responsibilities : 

Installation & Maintenance : 

• Install, configure, and set up new ATMs at various locations. 

• Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and firmware updates. 

• Ensure all ATMs comply with security and operational standards. 

Troubleshooting & Repairs : 

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electronic, and network-related ATM malfunctions. 

• Respond to service calls promptly to minimize ATM downtime.  

• Replace defective components such as card readers, dispensers, cassettes, and keypads. 

• Resolve software and connectivity issues. 

Security & Compliance : 

• Follow security protocols while handling ATM components and cash. 

• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. 

• Report suspicious activities or security concerns to management. 

Customer Service & Reporting : 

• Provide excellent customer support to ATM users and business clients. 

• Document service calls, repairs, and parts used in maintenance logs. 

• Recommend process improvements to enhance ATM reliability and efficiency. 

Requirements & Qualifications : 

• 3 to 5 years of experience as ATM Technician on the field 

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Technical degree preferred). 

• Proven experience as an ATM Technician, Field Service Technician, or similar role. 

• Strong knowledge of ATM hardware and software, troubleshooting, and repair techniques. 

• Strong understanding of electronic, mechanical, and networking systems. 

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. 

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing ATMs from major manufacturers (e.g., NCR, Diebold, Hyosung, Wincor). 

• Basic knowledge of networking (IP configuration, routers, switches) is a plus. • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to service locations. 

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. 

Physical & Work Environment Requirements : 

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. 

• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts as needed. 

• Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor environments at various client locations.
