QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIALS QUALIFICATION
An earned PhD and Master’s degree in software engineering or a related field from accredited institutions.
At least three (3) years of demonstrated quality and progressive teaching experience as an Associate Professor or Senior Lecturer; and research experience.
A minimum of six (6) high quality publications in refereed journals since last promotion to the position of Senior Lecturer.
Successful supervision of at least 5 postgraduate students, including 2 PhD candidates.
Registered with the relevant professional body.
Active participation in national and international scholarly activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver and facilitate teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Conduct research, publish findings, and secure research funding through proposals.
Build partnerships with industry, government, alumni, and other stakeholders.
Support policy development and institutional planning.
Monitor and evaluate teaching, research, and resource management for quality improvement.
Engage in continuous professional and staff development.
Develop, review, and implement academic curricula.
Supervise postgraduate students.
Maintain accurate student records, assessments, and academic progress tracking.
