Job Summary
The Sales Manager will lead and inspire a team of 10-15 sales executives to meet and exceed sales targets in the printing & packaging industry, which is high paced and competitive. This role requires a dynamic and results-oriented individual with a deep understanding of sales strategies, team management, and client relationship building. The Sales Manager will oversee the team in servicing and expanding a portfolio of at least 150 clients, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and fostering long-term client partnerships.

Job Description/Requirements
Job Location: Kampala, Uganda
Residency status: Preferably Ugandan National or holder of Certificate of Residence , but open to Expatriates
Qualification: MBA/MA/MSc in Sales & Marketing (preferred)
BA in Sales & Marketing, Management
Linguistic skills: Fluent in English (Spoken & Written)
Experience:
i. Minimum 10 years of experience in sales & marketing of sheetfed offset and/or large format printed products
ii. Minimum 3 years’ experience of managing a sales & marketing team of at least 10 individuals.
iii. Exposure to several technologies including: sheetfed offset & large format printing
iv. Serving at least 50 clients, and selling a minimum of 100 SKU’s
v. Working in a competitive market with at least 5 large competitors
vi. Managing sales of at least 1,000,000 USD per annum
vii. Ideally has worked in Africa in the printing industry
Age: Minimum 30 years old - Maximum 40 years old
Product line: Commercial Printing (books, posters, flyers, carnets), Large Format printing (billboards, pull up banners, tear drops)
Remuneration: Salary is market competitive

It employs over 350 permanent staff, and an additional 100-150 contract labor. The Company supplies the East African market with large format (indoor & outdoor print advertising material), commercial printing (books, posters, flyers, etc), industrial printing (labels, cartons), flexible packaging, garmenting & and promotional give away items.

a .Should be able to determine cost price on paper (not in excel or system) if given necessary inputs (pricing, quantity, size, etc)
HR
1.Ability to manage, monitor & inspire a team of 10+ individuals
2.Goal setting for subordinates and subsequent productivity and target monitoring
3.Staff recruitment & induction
Administrative Skills
1.Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel
2.Experience with working on SAP (ideally)
Key Responsibilities:
1.Profitability:
a. Achieving the sales targets as per the annual budget
2.PR:
a. Maintaining the strong reputation of the firm with clients
b Developing department specific marketing collateral & campaigns
3.HR:
a. Managing Commercial Department sales & marketing team and related administrative tasks, alongside the other Sales & Marketing Manager – Commercial Department
b. Ensuring security of assets directly allocated to Commercial Department sales & marketing team
c. Induction process & recruitment for new staff
d. Ensuring a safe, collaborative, and professional workspace, that is in line with Company values
e. Staff productivity analysis
4.Finance:
5.Administrative
a. Record keeping (sample approvals, contracts, etc)
b. QMS/Environmental audit participation, if required
6.Production:
a. Coordinate with production team to ensure orders are delivered as per client requirements
7.Purchase/Procurement:
a. Involved in planning/forecasting for raw material based on historical consumption patterns and expected orders
