Assistant Manager, Process Control – Tea Manufacture (Location: Nyamira)

• Perform quality assurance on existing manufacturing processes.
•  Identify areas for process control optimization.
•  Evaluate the efficiency of manufacturing technologies, instruments, equipment, and tools.
•  Drive process control innovation in collaboration with senior managers.
•  Continues review of manufacturing processes and making recommendations on suitable solutions towards automating the manufacturing processes.
•  Mentor, train, and develop the skills of technical staff including engineering teams.
•  Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
•  Document processes and prepare progress reports.
•  Maintain process control operations within budget while upholding quality and efficiency.
•  Stay updated on advancements and innovations in process control engineering

Qualifications and Competencies

•  Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
•  At least 5 years of experience in process control or manufacturing engineering, ideally within the food or beverage industry, where an understanding of tea processing would be highly advantageous.
•  Strong understanding of manufacturing technologies and equipment used in tea production.
•  Strong analytical skills to evaluate process efficiency, troubleshoot, and recommend enhancements.
•  Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•  Strong managerial and leadership skills.
