About the job

As an Accountant at Offshore Global Logistics, you will be placed within the Accounts Receivable function and be responsible for executing day‑to‑day receivables activities to ensure accurate billing and timely collections. The role involves producing and issuing client invoices, recording and reconciling incoming payments, following up on outstanding balances and reporting. You will work closely with internal teams and clients to resolve billing issues and improve collections performance.


Detailed key responsibilities:

·        Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, posting receipts, and maintaining accurate customer account records.

·        Prepare and issue timely and accurate invoices to customers in line with agreed terms and services provided.

·        Actively follow up on outstanding invoices, engage clients on overdue balances, and implement effective collection strategies to ensure timely collections.

·        Reconcile customer accounts, prepare statements and resolve any billing issues with clients and internal teams.

·        Generate aging reports, monitor credit limits, assess customer risk, and provide regular updates on receivables performance to support decision making.

·        Gather and validate accurate data to support correct costing and billing for clients.

·        Support cost control initiatives by identifying opportunities for cost reduction and minimizing revenue or financial risk.

·        Assist in monitoring and managing the organization’s budget and tracking actuals against approved budgets.

·        Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable laws.

·        Support the Finance Lead in implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets.

·        Identify financial risks and work with relevant departments to develop and implement mitigation strategies.

·        Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments and customers to support timely service delivery and issue resolution.

·        Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports as required by management and customers.

·        To perform other duties as required or directed


Requirements

  • Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Accounting/ Finance option) or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years progressive experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Previous experience in handling financial reports and reconciliations.
  • Experience with accounting software is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of financial regulations and accounting laws.
  •  Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
