We work hand-in-hand with small-scale farmers in Kenya, aiming to enhance agricultural practices while prioritizing community welfare and environmental sustainability.

Job Description:
As an Agronomist, you will be responsible for providing expert agronomic guidance and support in oil-producing crop cultivation. Working directly on the farm, you will optimize crop production, improve soil health, and implement sustainable farming practices.

Responsibilities
• Provide technical guidance on crop selection, planting, and cultivation techniques for oilproducing crops.
• Monitor crop health and growth stages, identifying pest and disease issues and recommending appropriate treatments.
• Optimize crop yield and quality through effective management of planting schedules, irrigation, and fertilization.
• Conduct soil tests to determine nutrient levels and soil composition.
• Conduct field trials and experiments to evaluate new crop varieties, farming techniques, and agricultural inputs.
• Collect and analyze data on crop yields, soil conditions, weather patterns, and input usage.
• Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations and standards related to pesticide use, environmental protection, and worker safety.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agriculture, or related field.
• Proven experience in agronomic advisory roles, preferably in the context of small-scale agriculture or agribusiness.
• Strong knowledge of oil-producing crops and agronomic practices in tropical or subtropical regions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including farmers, extension agents, and technical experts.
• Passion for sustainable agriculture, community development, and environmental stewardship.
