Job Summary
Miral Welfare Foundation is an NGO that’s supports vulnerable children and empowers children with disabilities in the community. We are looking for an expertise in field of accounting to work as Assistant to provide administrative accounting support and grow their career while working for the organization
Job Description/Requirements
· General Accounting:
o Maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
o Processing invoices and payments.
o Reconciling bank statements.
o Preparing financial reports.
· Tax-Related Duties:
o Assisting with tax preparation and filing.
o Keeping up-to-date with tax regulations.
o Maintaining tax-related documentation.
· Administrative Support:
o Handling general administrative tasks as needed.
o Organizing and maintaining financial documents.
· Excel-Based Tasks:
o Creating and managing spreadsheets for financial analysis.
o Generating reports and charts using Excel.
o Data entry and manipulation.
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies
- Ability to maintain positive, collaborative, productive relationships with colleagues at all levels.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as reporting, evaluating, and planning.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to devise creative solutions to complex problems and issues
- Proficiency in accounting principles and practices.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; well organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks
- Demonstrate ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Good planning, problem-solving, decision-making skills.
- Proficient in computer and organizational skills; Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data analysis) & familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
- Knowledge of tax regulations.
- The ability to communicate fluently in (English, and Swahili languages will be an added advantage).
