Job Summary
The Accounts Assistant will support financial operations, ensure accurate record-keeping, and assist in financial analysis, reporting, and compliance with statutory regulations.

Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities
i. Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
ii. Assist in analyzing financial information and preparing financial statements.
iii. Support month-end and year-end closing procedures with accuracy and efficiency
iv. Bank Account reconciliation
v. Statutory Compliance: Prepare tax returns, ensure timely payments, and adhere to regulations (e.g. PAYE, VAT, Withholding Tax, NSSF, SHIF, Housing Levy, NITA).
vi. Verifying the suppliers’ payment documentation for completeness, accuracy, and authorization before payment.
vii. Processing suppliers’ payments in accordance with the laid down procedures.
viii. Assist in Audits and provision of the necessary documentation to auditors.
ix. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Skills and Competencies
i. Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
ii. Proficiency in Accounting Software/ERP. Experience in the use of SAP is an added advantage.
iii. Computer literacy
iv. Time management
v. Teamwork and Collaboration
Required Qualifications and experience
i. Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Business or Finance related field
ii. At least CPA part II qualification
iii. At least 1 year of working experience in a busy accounting environment
Salary: Kshs. 50,000
