Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing inventory controls, and supporting the overall efficiency of the finance and administrative operations.

Job Description/Requirements

Roles and Responsibilities


●        Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system and ensure accuracy.

●        Reconcile bank statements, petty cash, and ledger accounts regularly.

●        Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.

●        Process and verify invoices, payments, and expense claims.

●        Assist in budgeting and forecasting by collecting and analyzing data.

●        Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely follow-ups and payments.

●        Support payroll processing, including preparing and verifying payment schedules.

●        Coordinate with vendors, customers, and internal departments to resolve finance-related queries.

●        Support annual audits by providing documentation and explanations as required.

●        Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring alignment with accounting systems.

●        Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.

●        Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely restocking and minimal overstocking.

●        Review and update inventory management procedures to improve efficiency.

●        Generate inventory-related reports for management, highlighting trends and risks.

●        Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.


Qualifications, Requirements, and Skills


Qualifications:

●        Minimum of 2 years working experience in a similar role within a  HEALTHCARE FACILITY setting.

●        CPA/ACCA qualifications will be an added advantage.

●        Bachelor's Degree in Business/Diploma in Business.

●        Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho, Xero) and inventory systems.

●        Strong understanding of bookkeeping and financial principles.

●        Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
