Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting:

• Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for multiple entities.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for each entity.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Team Leadership:

• Build, Manage and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
• Allocate resources effectively across entities to ensure all accounting tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations for each entity.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Manage tax compliance, including coordinating the preparation of tax returns for multiple jurisdictions.

Process Improvement & Systems Management:

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.
• Oversee the integration and maintenance of accounting systems and software across entities.
• Ensure consistent accounting practices and policies are applied across all companies.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and manage budgets for each entity.
• Provide financial forecasting and variance analysis to support business decision-making.
• Monitor and report on financial performance against budget and strategic objectives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with other departments to support organizational goals.
• Assist with financial planning and analysis for strategic projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a multi-entity environment.
• Proven experience in leading and managing accounting teams.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS) and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
