Accountant

Reports To:  Finance Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role is pivotal in driving financial performance, ensuring compliance, and supporting business growth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing cost control, financial reporting, internal controls, and stakeholder relationships, while fostering continuous improvement and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and implement cost-saving measures to optimize expenses and enhance profitability.
• Maintain an accurate general ledger, conducting variance analysis and tracking cost trends to support strategic decisions.
• Coordinate external audits, ensuring timely completion and addressing auditor inquiries and findings.
• Assess and strengthen internal controls to prevent fraud, errors, and financial misstatements.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards, providing timely solutions to audit findings.
• Track gross profit margins and monitor revenue growth against budget projections.
• Analyze general and administrative costs, including labor, utilities, and maintenance expenses, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Monitor cash inflows and outflows to maintain adequate liquidity for operations and capital expenditures.
• Oversee accounts receivable/payable management, including credit management, collections, and vendor payments.
• Optimize working capital, ensuring efficient management of accounts receivable, payable, and inventory turnover.
• Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring high satisfaction levels with accounting services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or ACCA certification preferred).
• CPA-Section 2
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting, with proven experience in cost control, compliance, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g. QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
