Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Accountant to handle our accounting function and contribute to the financial health and growth of Bestcare Facilities Management. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Job Description/Requirements
- Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing financial insights and analysis to assist management in decision-making.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and other statutory filings in compliance with Kenyan tax laws.
- Assist in the preparation for external audits, ensuring all required documentation is provided and accurate.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure financial data is accurate and up to date.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA (K) or ACCA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a similar service-oriented industry.
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax laws, financial regulations, and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or similar) and MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
