Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accountant with a minimum of five years in the field, preferably with a strong background in real estate accounting who can join immediately. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day bookkeeping, accounting, and reporting functions for both the commercial and residential rental divisions of our company.

We are urgently looking for:
Accountant to work with at one of our leading client companies in Nairobi.
Expectations:
· Bookkeeping & Accounting: Oversee all financial aspects of our commercial and residential rental divisions, including managing accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries.
· Financial Reporting: Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports on occupancy, debt, leases, and service charge collections for the board. Ensure accurate and timely reporting to support business decision-making.
· Tenant Management: Conduct weekly site visits to rental properties to meet with tenants, resolve any issues, and ensure that properties are well-maintained and comply with company standards.
· Occupancy & Leasing: Monitor and report on occupancy rates, rental agreements, and lease renewals for commercial and residential units. Liaise with the marketing team to ensure unsold residential units are marketed and sold efficiently.
· Service Charges & Contracts: Manage the collection of service charges and fees. Reconcile historic accounts, handle contract management for maintenance, cleaning, and security services across all properties.
· Excel & Data Analysis: Utilize Excel to manage and analyze financial data, and prepare reports for the board.
· Strong understanding of real estate accounting principles, rental agreements, and property management financials.
· Proficient in Excel, with experience in creating financial reports and data analysis.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data clearly to the board.
· Experience with service charge reconciliations, tenant management, and commercial/residential property contracts.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently, with regular travel for site visits.
