Our client a widely revered Golf Club situated in Nairobi. It has been in existence for over five decades with its members from different professional fields. They are seeking to hire a Food and Beverage Manager to be responsible for the day to day operations of the food and beverage department and all its sections

Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall management, control and discipline of all F&B sections within the club.
  • Planning, organizing, staffing, coordinating and controlling the activities of the F&B operations.
  • Reengineer the F&B Concept ensuring increased revenue streams.
  • Continually monitor and adapt as members market needs dictates ensuring increase in patronage.
  • Maintaining effective cost control in all areas in all areas of the F&B department.
  • Management of all staff activities, setting standards, driving professionalism, providing feedback, managing performance, engendering support and building loyalty.
  • Continuous improvement service delivery to members from the two departments.
  • Understanding of the market trends in food and beverage services and positioning VLSC to be a leader in this.
  • Discipline in all stations, readiness of all stations, cleanliness, staff levels, uniforms, food presentation, buffet displays, food and drink service sequence as well as the overall standards of service, hygiene and safety.
  • Staff training to ensure compliance and competency. Provide feedback to correct behavior, devise & implement training plans & manuals as required. Responsible for Food & Beverage financial reports.
  • Ensure that all F&B areas are inspected in a timely manner and are in compliance with company’s standards by checking for quality.
  • Constantly work the floor during service times to test guest feedback, and ensure constant feedback for a positive growth in the client database.

     

Skills and qualifications required

  • Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management.
  • At least 3 Years experience with a reputable Golf Club or Hotel
  • Must have good communication skills
